If you’re anything like me, you love pizza but sometimes want something a little different than the usual slices. That’s where these mini slider pizza bites come in! They’re the perfect homemade pizza recipe for when you want to combine your love for sliders and pizza into one delicious bite-sized snack. Whether you’re hosting friends or just want a fun meal to enjoy at home, these bites are always a hit.

Let’s Prep:

Let’s start with the basics—prepping everything we need for this simple yet flavorful dish. First, grab your slider buns. I like to use King’s Hawaiian rolls because they’ve got that perfect sweetness that pairs so well with the savory flavors we’re about to layer on. Separate the top from the bottom of the buns, set them aside, and get ready for the magic to happen.

Next, we’re going to create an irresistible buttery mixture. In a bowl, melt about eight tablespoons of unsalted butter. To this melted butter, we’ll add 1 tablespoon of garlic seasoning (I’m using OM Garlic Seasoning, but any good garlic blend will work), ½ teaspoon of basil, ½ teaspoon of oregano, and ½ teaspoon of onion powder.

Mix it all together until it’s smooth and fragrant. You can already smell the flavors building!

Now, brush this butter mixture generously over the tops and bottoms of your slider buns. Trust me, this step takes these mini slider pizza bites from good to “I need to make this every week” level. Pop the buttered buns in the oven at 350°F and bake for about 10 minutes, just enough to get that perfect golden crust on the outside.

Once the buns are out of the oven and cooled for about 10 minutes, it’s time to get saucy. Spread about a teaspoon of pizza sauce on each bottom half of the buns. You can go more or less depending on how saucy you like your pizza bites—I’m usually a little generous with it because I love that tangy flavor.

After the sauce, it’s time for the mozzarella. Sprinkle a good pinch of shredded mozzarella cheese on each bun. This is where the magic happens as it melts into that stretchy, gooey goodness we all love in a homemade pizza recipe. And of course, don’t forget the pepperoni! Add a few slices on top of the cheese, and feel free to add extra if you’re a pepperoni lover like me.

Now, this is a little trick I like to do. I take an aluminum foil tray, place any extra pepperoni slices in there, and bake them alongside the pizza bites. This way, I have crispy pepperoni to fill in any gaps or just snack on later. Place everything back in the oven and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes until the cheese is perfectly melted and bubbly.

Let’s Eat:

When the mini slider pizza bites come out of the oven, they smell absolutely amazing. The buttery garlic seasoning on the buns, the melted mozzarella, and that crispy pepperoni all come together to make the ultimate homemade pizza recipe. These bites are best served hot, straight from the oven. Trust me, they’re so good you won’t want to wait.

I like to plate them up on a big tray and serve them as an appetizer or main dish. They’re easy to pick up and bite into, making them perfect for parties or even game day snacks. The best part? They’re totally customizable. You can switch up the toppings with whatever you like—think sausage, veggies, or even some jalapenos for a spicy kick.
