Pizza recipe lovers, I’ve got your covered! I’m about to share one of my all-time favorite pizza recipes, and it’s not your typical pie. I’m talking about Pepperoni Pizza Monkey Bread—a fun twist on pizza that’s perfect for sharing.

Whether you’re hosting a pizza night or just craving something cheesy, this is the kind of recipe that delivers big on flavor. It’s packed with pepperoni, melted mozzarella, and a savory butter-herb mixture that will have everyone reaching for seconds.

The best part? This pizza recipe doesn’t involve rolling out pizza dough, waiting for it to rise, or dealing with fancy flours. You don’t need a pizza pan, a stand mixer, or even a pizza peel. Nope, we’re keeping it simple today, which makes this easy homemade pizza recipe ideal for everyone, even if it’s your first time making something like this. It’s all about layering delicious ingredients and letting your oven do the rest of the work!

Let’s Prep:

First things first—get your ingredients together. One of the things I love about this easy recipe is that it calls for super simple ingredients. We’re not messing around with homemade pizza dough recipes today, so go ahead and grab two tubes of Pillsbury biscuits from your local grocery store. These biscuits will give us that fluffy, chewy crust that’s perfect for holding all the pizza flavors.

Now, let’s talk cheese. You’ll need one cup of low-moisture mozzarella cheese, which is my go-to for any pizza recipe. It melts perfectly without making the dough soggy, and it’s the best mozzarella for baking in a home oven. Speaking of cheese, don’t forget to grab some Parmesan cheese—it adds that salty, nutty flavor that takes this recipe to the next level.

Next, slice up your pepperoni into halves. If pepperoni isn’t your thing, feel free to swap it out for your favorite toppings. This recipe is flexible like that, so you can get creative with your favorite pizzas. Just remember, the key to a great pizza (even in monkey bread form) is balance, so don’t overload it!

Now it’s time to cut all your biscuits into quarters. This might seem like a lot of work, but trust me—it’s worth it. These little dough balls are going to be the base for our homemade pizza. And speaking of dough balls, this is the only time I’ll say you don’t need to worry about dough rising, using purpose flour, or any of the other steps you’d expect from a traditional pizza dough recipe.

Now comes the fun part—putting everything together! Take each quartered biscuit and wrap it around a slice of pepperoni, sealing the edges so you’ve got a little dough ball filled with pizza goodness. Roll them up until they’re fully sealed and set them aside.

In a large mixing bowl, melt your butter—make sure it’s unsalted—and mix in the minced garlic, parsley, basil, oregano, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan. The mixture is what’s going to give this pizza recipe all its flavor, so mix it well. You don’t want any clumps of cheese or herbs; everything should be evenly distributed for that perfect cheesy, garlicky bite every time. The butter mixture coats every dough ball, ensuring that the inside is soft and savory while the outside turns a lovely golden brown.

Now, dip each pepperoni-filled dough ball into the butter-cheese mixture and place it in a well-greased bundt pan. If you don’t have a bundt pan, you can use a baking sheet or a cast iron pan—just make sure everything’s snug, but not too packed. We want room for these to bake up and get nice and fluffy. And for those of you at high altitudes, you may need to adjust your baking time slightly.

Now, pop the bundt pan into your oven, which should be preheated to 350°F. You’ll want to bake this for about 40-45 minutes, but be sure to check on it periodically. If the outer edges look like they’re getting a bit too golden brown, cover the pan with foil for the last 10-15 minutes.

This will help prevent any burning and ensure the inside continues to cook. And don’t worry if it’s not perfectly golden brown the first time—every oven is different, especially when you’re working with a home oven.

Let’s Eat:

Once your pepperoni pizza monkey bread is out of the oven, let it rest on the counter for about 15 minutes. Trust me, I know it’s hard to wait, but this will help the bread set up and make it easier to pull apart. And the wait is totally worth it when you bite into that warm, cheesy goodness!

Now, for serving, I like to pair it with some of my favorite pizza sauce. You can use store-bought or make your own. If you’re looking to impress, garnish with a bit of fresh basil or more Parmesan cheese. The freshness of the basil really balances out the richness of the cheese and butter. It’s like topping off a margherita pizza with that final sprinkle of fresh herbs—it just ties everything together.

So there you have it—Pepperoni Pizza Monkey Bread, an easy and fun way to enjoy your pizza night. You don’t need a pizza stone or a wood-fired oven for this one, just a little time, a lot of cheese, and a love for great pizza.
