Bacon Wrapped Hot Dog with Hot Dog Pickle Bun
Ingredients
- 4 Hot Dogs
- 4 Bacon Sliced, regular cut
- 4 Whole Dill Pickles
- Ranch or BBQ Seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat oven or smoker to 350F
- Wrap Hot Dog in 1 slice of bacon, and secure each end with toothpicks to hold bacon while cooking
- Season with Ranch Seasoning, or your favorite BBQ Rub
- Place in preheated smoker and allow to cook for 40-45 minutes until the bacon is golden brown. If bacon starts to char, remove from heat.
- While hot dogs are cooking, prepare the pickle, by slicing ¼ of the pickle out by cutting in a "V" shape on the top. Using a small spoon, or measuring spoon, scoop out the inside of the pickle and set aside to save for a relish condiment on hot dog.
- When hot dog is done, place inside pickle hot dog bun, and garnish with inside of pickle. Serve hot.
