Preparation Steps:
- Gather Your Ingredients:
- 1 tube (8 crescent rolls) crescent roll dough
- 24 slices of pepperoni
- 8 oz mozzarella cheese (sliced thin)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder
- Marinara sauce or pizza sauce for dipping
- Prepare Your Dough:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Open the crescent roll dough and separate each triangle.
- Lay them flat on a clean surface.
Assemble the Roll Ups:
- Place 3 slices of pepperoni on the wide end of each crescent triangle.
- Add a slice of mozzarella cheese.
- Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and/or onion powder. My favorite is O.M.G. Seasoning for all of the flavors, and them some, in one.
- Roll each crescent starting from the wide end, ensuring the toppings stay snugly inside.
- Egg Wash & Seasoning:
- Brush the tops of your roll-ups with an egg wash.
- Sprinkle with a bit of garlic powder and parmesan cheese (optional).
Bake to Perfection:
- Place your pizza crescent rolls on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown.
Troubleshooting & Common Mistakes:
- Overstuffing: Avoid overfilling your croissant pizza rolls to prevent toppings from spilling out.
- Uneven Cooking: Make sure croissant pizza roll-ups are in a single layer on the baking sheet, and not touching at all.
- Soggy Dough: Use an egg wash and avoid putting sauce in the roll up, use for dipping.
