Ingredients You’ll Need

Here’s what you’ll need to whip these up:

• 8 refrigerated biscuit dough
• 8 breakfast sausage patties
• 4 eggs
• 4 slices of cheddar cheese (shredded works too)
• 2 tablespoon maple syrup
• ¼ C milk (I prefer whole milk)
• Salt & Pepper to taste
• Optional: Sesame seeds to garnish or everything bagel seasoning (if desired)

That’s it! Pretty straightforward, right? You probably already have most of this stuff in your fridge.

Let's Prep This Easy Breakfast Recipe

Start by cooking your sausage patties in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. I like to let mine cook until the edges are a little crispy-it gives them so much extra flavor. Once they’re done, set them aside on a paper towel to drain off any extra grease.

Next, it’s time to scramble the eggs. Crack three eggs into a medium bowl, add the milk, and season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Whisk it all together until smooth. Cook the egg mixture over medium-high heat in a large skillet, stirring gently until they’re just set. Don’t overdo it-you want them soft because they’ll cook more in the oven.

While the sausage and eggs cool a little, preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray it with cooking spray to keep things from sticking.

Building the Bombs

Here’s where the fun begins! Take your biscuit dough and carefully split each biscuit in half. You’ll want to stretch the dough just a bit to make room for all the fillings.

Here’s how to assemble:

• Start with the bottom layer of biscuit dough.
• Add a spoonful of scrambled eggs.
• Top with half a slice of cheddar cheese.
• Add a sausage patty on top of the cheese.
• Drizzle a little maple syrup over everything-it’s the secret ingredient!
• Cover it all with the top half of the biscuit and pinch the edges to seal it shut.
• Make sure to seal the edges really well. I use a fork to crimp them-it looks nice and keeps everything inside.

Place your breakfast bombs on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each one. Brush the tops with egg wash (just beat the last egg with a splash of water), and sprinkle on sesame seeds or bagel seasoning if you’re feeling fancy.

Let's Cook!

Bake the bombs in your preheated oven for about 18-20 minutes, or until they’re a gorgeous golden brown. The smell alone will have you counting down the minutes until they’re done.

Once they’re out of the oven, let them cool for a minute before digging in-the filling will be piping hot! The combination of the flaky biscuit, creamy eggs, melty cheese, and savory sausage is next-level.

Tips and Tricks:

Make-Ahead Hack: These are awesome as a freezer meal. After baking, let them cool completely, then wrap them in plastic wrap and store them in the freezer. Reheat in the air fryer or oven, and they’re good as new!

Switch It Up: Don’t feel like sausage? Swap it out for crispy bacon, ham, or even pork chops. Want a little kick? Try pepper jack cheese or add a teaspoon of jalapeños to the filling.

Perfect Pairing: These breakfast bombs are great on their own, but I like to serve them with a side of fresh fruit or a dollop of spicy salsa.
