Cooking

Ingredients

  • 1 LB Bacon trimmed of any loose fat
  • 1 C Buffalo or hot sauce
  • 2 TBSP Sweet BBQ sauce
  • 2 TBSP Honey + 2 more for Glaze
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper

Buffalo Honey Glaze

Instructions

  • Trim any loose fat off the 1 lb of bacon to ensure even cooking and a better texture.
  • In a bowl, combine 1 cup of Buffalo or hot sauce, 2 tablespoons of sweet BBQ sauce, 2 tablespoons of honey, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper, mixing well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  • Place the bacon in a container or resealable bag, pour the marinade over it, and ensure each slice is well-coated. Refrigerate and let it marinate overnight or for a minimum of 4 hours
  • Preheat your smoker to 400°F,
  • Arrange the twisted bacon slices on the smoker rack, and smoke for 45-60 minutes or until the bacon is crispy.
  • Remove the bacon from the marinade and twist each individual slice for an attractive presentation and extra crispiness.
  • Apply Honey Buffalo Glaze for last 5 minutes of the cook
  • Remove from the smoker, let cool slightly, and serve as a flavorful snack or side dish.
